Repeat Bookings
Create bookings that recur automatically based on a defined schedule, useful for regular meetings, resource reservations, or any recurring work pattern
Setting Up a Repeating Booking
When creating or editing a booking, open the Date & Time section and click the Repeat control to configure how and when the booking repeats.
Repeat Frequency
- Doesn’t Repeat – The default setting for one-time bookings.
- Hourly – Repeats every X hours.
- Daily – Repeats every X days.
- Weekly – Repeats every X weeks on specific days of the week.
- Monthly – Repeats every X months.
When “Weekly” is selected, you can choose specific days of the week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday) on which the booking should recur.
Interval
The number entered within the interval field controls how often the repeat occurs. For example:
- Daily + Interval 1 = every day
- Weekly + Interval 2 = every 2 weeks
- Monthly + Interval 6 = every 6 months
Ending the Repeat
You can control when the series stops using two end conditions:
- End on Date – Select a specific date/time at which the repeat will stop.
- End after Count – Define how many times the booking should repeat (e.g., repeat 4 times total).
Editing a Repeating Booking
When editing a booking in a repeat series, you’ll be asked how the most recent changes should apply:
- Only this booking – Updates a single occurrence without affecting others.
- This booking and all following repeats – Applies changes from the selected date forward.
- All repeat bookings – Modifies every occurrence in the series.
How Changes Are Applied to Repeat Bookings
When editing repeat bookings, only the properties that are changed are applied during the save. This ensures that changes made to individual bookings in a series are preserved, while still allowing shared changes to be applied across the group.
For example, if you move a single booking in the series to a new day and save that change for only that booking, its date will become independent from the rest of the series. Later, if you update the name of the booking and apply that change to all repeat bookings, only the name will update—not the date of the one you previously moved.
Deleting a Repeating Booking
When deleting a booking that is part of a repeating series, Sonderplan provides flexible options to help you manage exactly which bookings are removed.
Delete Booking Options
Upon clicking Delete, you’ll be presented with three choices:
- Delete only this booking - Removes just the selected booking from the series. The rest of the repeat series remains unchanged.
- Delete this & future repeats - Deletes the selected booking and all future occurrences in the series, starting from the one you selected. Earlier instances will be preserved.
- Delete all repeats - Permanently deletes the entire repeat series, including past, present, and future bookings.
